The creative and inventive mind of Don Poynter (he invented whiskey-flavored toothpaste) turned to toys and gadgets and he is one of the many local toymakers celebrated in a current exhibit at the ’s downtown branch.
The 90-year old joins Jim Nolan to talk about his Poynter Products which brought the world the Jayne Mansfield hot water bottle, the first talking toilet seat, the first basketball backboard for a wastebasket and more.
