For the 11th straight year, Lee Hay has assembled some of the best local musicians and contributors to celebrate the season in word and music.
This year’s 2-hour special opens with a reading of The Night Before Christmas by Phil Nuxhall, followed by a mix of holiday music, old and new, recorded just for this program by local musicians including , , , , , , & , and with additional performances by and . You'll also enjoy music from holiday CD's by , and the plus a couple of Christmas songs recorded at King Records by Freddie King.
Also on the show will be a reading by Rick Pender; ’s story about her first guitar which she received for Christmas; one of the actors from shares a scene from their recent production of A Charlie Brown Christmas; and storyteller/comedian tells a story about Big Fib Trailer Park at Christmas time. There are poetry recitations by Ron Esposito, Jeffrey Hilliard, Barbara Gray, Kelly Blewett, and Sherry Cook Stanforth. Local children’s author Aaron Smith reads from his book, .
