Centuries-Old Illustrations Spring To Life At Lloyd Library

The "Off the Page" exhibit now at the Lloyd Library & Museum brings the work of botanical illustrator Maria Sibylla Merian to life.

The and have partnered on an exhibition now at the Lloyd entitled "Off the Page,” which brings the 300-year-old work of botanical illustrator Maria Sibylla Merian back to life. The exhibition features 3-dimensional recreations of Merian’s illustrations, using preserved plant, animal, and insect specimens.

Joining us to discuss "Off the Page" and the work of Maria Sibylla Merian are Lloyd Library & Museum Executive Director Patricia Van Skaik; and Meddling with Nature taxidermist, Jeremy Johnson.
