Kids and teenagers with special needs may require extra assistance due to medical, emotional or learning issues. Increased accessibility and inclusion is important for them not only in schools, but throughout the entire community.
There are efforts being made in to ensure that special needs youth have access to the same facilities and services as their peers. For example, is working to make its parks accessible to children with special needs, providing play structures with ramps for wheelchairs and mobility devices.
