Nearly 46,200 public school students in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky have no internet access at home, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. But that number is changing for the better, due in part to the pandemic.
This year Cincinnati Bell, Cincinnati Public Schools, Greater Cincinnati Foundation, United Way of Greater Cincinnati, and ComputerXpress are partnering with several organizations to help thousands of K-12 public school students in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky access low-cost internet connectivity at home.
Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss the efforts to get more students internet access for the school year are Vice President of Product Strategy Michele Lehmkuhl; and Chief Communications Officer Brian Gregg.
