The is crawling with creepy critters this summer for its latest exhibit . The exhibition features illustrated works dating from 1634 to the early 20th century that depict the habitat, anatomy and metamorphosis of insects.
This week the library is bugging out with a special guest lecture. "" explores the value of insects in our gardens and how to sustainably strike the balance between promoting the health of our gardens and the battle with insects in an ecologically sustainable way. The virtual conversation features local gardeners and environmental experts on July 15 from 7-8 p.m.
Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss "Friend or Foe: Bugs in Your Sustainable Garden" and Incredible Insects: 400 Years of Entomology are Lloyd Library Executive Director Patricia Van Skaik; Manager of Botanical Garden Outreach Scott Beuerlein; Founder Dominique Peebles; and Librarian Cedric Rose.
