An update on the state of HIV/AIDS - treatments, diagnosis, and local services

 

 More than 1.1 million people in the U.S. are living with HIV, the virus that can lead to AIDS. 1 in 6 people don't even know of their infection. Still, experts say that thanks to better treatment, people with HIV are now living longer and with a better quality of life.  We'll talk about HIV/AIDS, the latest treatments, and we'll look at  local efforts to help those who have it.  Joining us are Dr. Carl Fichtenbaum, professor of clinical medicine from the ; and from , Linda Seiter, executive director, and Midge Hines, case director.
