Fifty years ago this month, the world watched as the Apollo 11 lunar module, nicknamed the "Eagle," landed on the moon and Commander Neil Armstrong and Col. Edwin Eugene "Buzz" Aldrin stepped onto the surface of the moon.
Joining Cincinnati Edition to discuss the historical significance of that first moon landing on July 20, 1969, are Executive Director Dante Centuori; and Assistant Director Dean Regas. Regas is also co-host of the PBS series and co-host of the 海角社区 podcast, Looking Up.
