An annual Good Friday tradition is underway in Mt. Adams.
At midnight, Bishop Joseph Binzer blessed the steps of Holy Cross - Immaculata church and the annual began.
Thousands of people will spend a portion of this Good Friday in prayer and reflection, slowly climbing the steps leading up to the church.
It's a tradition that dates back more than 150 years.
The church is open until midnight Friday with two services today at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Priests are on hand to hear confession.
There's a traditional fish fry from 3-7 p.m.
Holy Cross - Immaculata Church is also collecting canned goods and other non-perishable items for in Brown County.
