A new exhibit opens Saturday at the Cincinnati Art Museum, celebrating a man who's been called "one of the most visionary American fashion designers of the 20th century." Though you may not know his name, you've seen his influence play out in the clothing world.
Look and listen as Chief Cincinnati Art Museum Curator Cynthia Amnéus walks you through .

The Total Look exhibition includes more than 60 outfits. It features Gernreich's model and muse, Peggy Moffitt.
There's also a photo collection highlighting hairstyles by Vidal Sassoon. Amnéus decided to include the British hairdresser because his iconic "Sassoon bob" was considered groundbreaking during the same time as Gernreich's fashions. In fact, model Peggy Moffitt sported one of his famous geometric haircuts.
The exhibit runs from February 28 - May 24, 2015.
