Hiring Underway At Clifton Market

Construction continues on a co-op grocery store in Clifton. Backers of the Clifton Market provided an update Tuesday morning.

Clifton Market Board Chair Adam Hyland says it seems to be a slow process but that's because the group wants to do everything perfectly.

"We're getting the refrigeration systems in," he says. "The store is coming together. The walls are up. They're painted. The ceilings are done. The HVAC is in. We're starting the hiring today. The ball is rolling.".

Hyland says the for 40 full-time positions and 41 part-time.

"The fact that we're able to hire 81 people in the community is a huge economic driver for not only the business district (and) the community, but also people's livelihood."

Hyland says they now expect to open by the end of November.
