Many people in greater Cincinnati rely on public transit to get to work every day. But a University of Cincinnati study finds 75,000 jobs in our region are not easily accessible by bus service, which is facing a $31.3 million deficit next year.
The (SORTA), which operates Metro, will ask Hamilton County tax payers to approve a sales tax on the November 2018 ballot to help expand and improve bus service. Without the tax Metro could be out of money in less than two years.
