What's described as the Super Bowl of economic development is coming to Cincinnati starting next week.
The 2018 annual conference begins Mar. 19, but some of the participants will be arriving this weekend.
President and CEO Johnna Reeder said these are the key decision makers in the economic development industry.
"These individuals help large and medium-sized companies make their siting decisions across the U.S. and in some cases across the world," Reeder said. "This is our opportunity to get in front of them as a region and shine."
REDI plans to showcase the region and attendees will be visiting places like Music Hall and Findlay Market.
"We don't use this conference to actually show them sites, this is not about a specific project," Reeder said. "But these site selectors represent over $30 billion a year in projects, and that's thousands and thousands of jobs. So, if we were just to land one project in one of our cities, townships, villages, or counties, we would all win as a region."
There are 44 guild members and some 350 economic developers will be attending the conference.
Cincinnati was in a competition to host the conference, and Reeder said it's the first time a Midwestern city has been selected. It's previously been held in Nashville and Denver.
