Finding a specific grave can sometimes take awhile, especially if you haven't been to the cemetery in a long time. Springfield Township's Arlington Memorial Gardens has a new option to help you find your way using GPS.
Cemetery President and CEO Dan Applegate knows the challenge of locating a specific plot. Forty-nine thousand people are buried in the 165-acre memorial park.
Locating a grave at Arlington can be challenging because all of the markers are flat.
"So what would happen in the past, [people] would drive around and then kind of surrender and say, 'OK, we've got to go to the office and get a map,'" he says.

That's changed now since Arlington started working with . On the , users click on "locate a loved one" on a dropdown menu. It tells users which garden, what row, and in which plot to find their loved one.
So far, Applegate has gotten good feedback about the GPS. "It's hard to talk about innovation in cemeteries, but this is one of those innovations that I think is really good for the consumer."
Users will soon be able to use the website to view or leave memories about a loved one, too.
Webcemeteries.com is also working with in Union Township, Clermont County. It has a downloadable app that makes grave finding easier.
