ABC has announced East and West audition bus tours, both starting August 17, in Orlando, FL, and Portland, OR. The East tour stops Wednesday, Aug. 30, in Louisville and Sunday, Sept. 3 (Labor Day weekend) in Pittsburgh.

The new "American Idol" will premiere on ABC next year with judge The network has not named the other judges or host.
Open auditions also are scheduled for Chicago on Sept. 11, and in New Orleans on Sept. 14.
