This local special starts off with Whiskey Shambles and Kelly Richey who'll both be performing at the event at Findlay Market on Sunday, July 27th. The 2nd set of this evening's blues show features three musicians, Jarekus Singleton, Selwyn Birchwood, & Guy Forsyth, who'll be playing at the on Friday or Saturday evenings, August 1st or 2nd.
The next set includes (1) Sonny Moorman who's playing the on Saturday, August 2nd, (2) the who play regularly around the area and (3) Jonny Lang who's on the bill with Buddy Guy at on Friday, August 15th.
The final segment of the show is devoted to a commentary by music historian Dave Lewis about Cincinnati native who's referred to as the Queen of the Blues. This is a well-researched piece which also includes a number of songs by her. Dave focuses on the accuracy of available historical references to this legendary early blues vocalist. She's buried in in New York. (1883-1946)
