Ohio Republican and Democratic voters will choose their party's candidates for governor in the May 8 primary elections next week. The winners in the primary races will run in November to replace Governor John Kasich, who is term-limited.
On the Democratic side, Richard Cordray, former head of the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and former Congressman Dennis Kucinich appear to be the forerunners in a six-candidate race.
And a nasty battle has been playing out between the two candidates left in the Republican primary, Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Ohio Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor.
Joining "Cincinnati Edition" to analyze the candidates and their chances are Columbus Bureau Chief Chrissie Thompson (); reporter and producer Andy Chow (); and Howard Wilkinson ().
