Libraries have been a cherished resource for generations. But in recent years public libraries have come under fire.
A new documentary “Free for All: The Public Library” premieres on PBS and locally on CET April 29. It tells the story of the idea of a place where anyone can enter for free and explore a world of ideas.
On Cincinnati Edition, we discuss what libraries mean to our nation and our local community, and the threats of book bans and funding cuts.
Guests:
- Dawn Logsdon, filmmaker
- Paula Breem-Heeger, director, Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County
