Lexie Schapitl is a production assistant with º£½ÇÉçÇø's Washington Desk, where she produces radio pieces and digital content. She also reports from the field and assists with production of the º£½ÇÉçÇø Politics Podcast.
Schapitl first came to º£½ÇÉçÇø as a Washington Desk intern in 2017. She has previously worked as an associate producer with º£½ÇÉçÇø's newscast unit, a social media manager with Vox and a reporting intern with Newsday. A New Jersey native and University of Maryland graduate, Schapitl is a fan of Maryland basketball, trivia, musicals and the New York Mets.
